SENEGAL-INDUSTRY: Increase of 0.7% of producer prices

Dakar, May 18 (APS) - The industrial producer prices recorded in March increased 0.7% primarily due to higher production costs of mining, according to the National Agency for Statistics and Demography (ANSD).
This development is particularly due to an increase in producer prices of mining, power generation and chemical conditions of the note indicates monthly ANSD sent to APS.

Abu Dhabi Ship Building (ADSB), the leading shipbuilder and naval support services provider in the Arabian Gulf region, has commenced the next phase of its Baynunah Corvette Class pride Program constructions for the UAE Navy. The Prime Contractor has moved the second vessel from the assembly hall where it will pass through its final systems outfitting in preparation for its launching sometimes later in this year where it will go through an intensive acceptance trials prior to the final delivery to the UAE Navy.

Conference delegates laud Al Rabie’s modern facilities and adoption of benchmark standards in food preparation

Food and nutrition experts urged the adoption of more best practices in the food manufacturing industry during the Fifth Saudi Conference for Food and Nutrition, which was held recently at the Madareem Crown Hotel in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The event was held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Mansour Bin Muteb Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and carried this year’s theme, “Food technology, control and healthy nutrition.” Organized annually by the Saudi Society for Food and Nutrition, the conference was attended by local and international physicians, scientists and specialists in the field of food and nutrition with lectures delivered by leading industry experts from Canada, USA, Egypt, Kuwait and KSA.

In line with this, Al Rabie Saudi Foods Co. Ltd., a leading producer of dairy products and juices in the KSA, organized a special tour of the company’s production facilities for the conference participants. Hosted in coordination with King Saud University, the visit allowed the delegates to get a better understanding of the Kingdom’s food preparation and manufacturing industry.
